Radiofrequency brazing

This technique operates by inducing a rapidly oscillating current in the workpiece, which experiences rapid ohmic heating.

It is particularly suitable for joining low mass components, which have reasonable resistivity values.

Radiofrequency brazingOne of the principal advantages is that only the section within the induction coil will heat, leaving potentially sensitive regions relatively cold.

The item to be brazed can be heated in air, for a fluxed braze, or in inert gas or vacuum.

Added to this the induction coil can be formed specifically to suit the size of the work piece and region to be heated.

As a result the process is highly versatile and rapid.
