Right to work in the UK

Candidates from outside the European Economic Area are reminded that you will need to produce clear documentation to show that you have formal permission to work in the UK.

Only in exceptional circumstances, are we able to employ anyone who does not have formal consent to work in the UK. Current limits on immigration to the UK mean that our ability to sponsor employees under Tier 2 (General) of the points-based system is very limited. You are advised to explore possible alternative legitimate procedures which do not require sponsorship by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority.

Security checks

You will be required to undergo security vetting, including criminal records checks.


We will request details of your referees, one of whom must be your current or most recent employer. We will not contact your referees until a verbal offer of employment has been made and accepted.
