Electrical Engineering Talent Pool

The Electrical Engineering Department at the UK Atomic Energy Authority operate the megawatt pulsed power converters and electrical distribution systems for the Joint European Torus (JET) and the UK's MAST Upgrade tokamak. These are unique systems that offer exciting opportunities to work across a broad range of technologies from analogue and digital control system electronics, through to large industrial power converters and high voltage distribution systems.

The UK Atomic Energy Authority is leading a world class programme in the development of materials, technology, power plant design and robotics to promote and support the design of future Fusion power plants. Opportunities exist in these programmes for engineers to work on electrical systems, electronics and control & instrumentation systems.

Recruits are being sought that can bring skills to cover work from fault-finding, operations, maintenance, design, project engineering and installation work.

Training and development will be provided to all recruits to progress their careers.
